Fire Sprinkler / Protection Designer

We have an immediate position available for a fire sprinkler designer with 2+ years’ experience. This involves the ability to read and interpret blueprints and using architectural backgrounds as a basis to design the sprinkler systems. We use AutoSPRINK software to perform design and hydraulic calculations. Will need to read and apply the local building codes and NFPA standards to assure code compliance. The ability to go out in the field on construction sites, perform field surveys, and interact with field personnel. The ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as general organizational skills. Oral and written communication are very important requirements as the designers’ main responsibility is to communicate a plan to our installers, shop foreman, fire marshal or other authorities having jurisdiction. Most importantly, you must be a team player.
